Price Increase for Solid Gold Nibs
This is an announcement to make our customers aware of a price increase to all solid gold nibs.
For a long time, I’ve done my best to cling to lower pricing of gold nibs, but the gold rate as well as other factors make this currently impossible.
Please see the graph below showing how the gold rate has nearly doubled in the last two years.
This very high rate has finally cascaded to where I can no longer sustain my current pricing.
I won’t bother listing every offering here, as you can see our product pages for this, but the most popular nib, being the #6 18k version, will go from $125 to $200.
There are other factors including the current rate of the Euro vs Dollar as well as a recent 10% tariff (HTS 99030125) that is applied every international shipment that I receive. But the gold rate is the primary factor driving this increase.
Rest assured that I will closely monitor all of these factors moving forward. If pricing can come down in the future, I will certainly do so.
